It’s a Winter Wonderland in Woodstock, Vermont

Braeburn Siberians – just taking a snow break!

Early snowfall has brought a white blanket to our grounds at The Jackson House Inn, so plan your visit to Woodstock for the winter of 2014!  Last year’s best-kept secret is now a popular, unforgettable way to spend an hour or more of your time on a dogsledding adventure with the Braeburn Siberians near Windsor.  Talk about energy – look at these adorable animals (a thank you to our guest, Corrina, for the photos).

Checking the passengers?

The experience of a Vermont dogsled ride is like no other – the sounds of the sleds running over the snow, the dogs barking in delight and whatever nature may have to share.  In conjunction with Great River Outfitters, you can reserve a tour on Fridays and Sundays to travel through the fields or under the stars and moonlight for 45 unforgettable minutes along the Connecticut River and through the Path of Life Garden.  Path of Life/Great Outfitters offers sleigh rides and snowshoeing, too!

And, of course, our Vermont bed and breakfast is only minutes from Suicide Six Ski Area, Wilderness Trails Nordic Center, and Killington Mountain’s Skyeship gondola.  Or, drive a bit further to experience Pico and Okemo Mountains for downhill excitement.

Winter has definitely arrived – come join us in Vermont!
