T he Jackson offers a mix of 15 uniquely appointed queen-sized and king-sized guest rooms. Each room has been thoughtfully designed with your comfort in mind and features elegantly appointed bathrooms, heirloom furnishings, gallery quality art and décor, plush Frette bathrobes, and Argan bath products.

The Jackson offers ample common space for guests to gather and relax, indoors and out. Our parlours and lounge areas are perfect places to unwind with a book or socialize with fellow guests. Or stroll our generous grounds and find your favorite spot by the pond or in the gardens. A range of premium coffees is always available from our complimentary coffee bar in the lobby.

Start your day with breakfast in our spacious dining room overlooking the gardens and distant hills. Our continental style buffet breakfast includes: homemade quiches; yogurt parfait station with fresh fruit, almonds, granola, and honey; Woodstock Farmers Market breads; coffee and tea; and juices.

Our Legacy

A Journey of Transformation

Originally a private residence built by Wales N. Johnson, the inn became The Seven Maples in 1940 under Robert and Christine Jackson. Bruce McIlveen and Jack Foster expanded it to 11 rooms in 1983. Juan and Gloria Florin rebranded it as The Jackson House Inn & Restaurant in 1997, adding suites and a dining venue. Bernard and Jennifer English continued its excellence from 2006, while Kathy and Rick Terwelp’s 2010 revitalization highlighted its warmth and local charm. In 2018, new ownership introduced a curated art collection, blending historical elegance with a contemporary twist. In 2024, our newest ownership has continued this tradition with its celebrated mainstays like the curated art collection, while blending historical elegance with contemporary amenities of modern experiences.

We had a great stay at the Jackson House Inn this past week. It really is an exquisite property. From the lovely grounds, to the beautiful decor, to the amiable Richard welcoming us to the morning breakfast, we enjoyed our stay completely. The location is quiet but near enough to the village to be convenient. We love Woodstock and look forward to a return visit to the Jackson.

We have visited Woodstock several times but this was our first time at The Jackson. We could not have been happier with our stay. Our beautifully furnished room was clean and comfortable, the lounges were charming and cozy, and the outdoor areas were spectacular. My husband and I stayed for a four day weekend to celebrate his 50th birthday. We stayed in the Christine Jackson Suite. The suite included a gas fireplace, a large whirlpool tub and french doors that go out to the back of the property. This was the nicest suite we’ve ever stayed in. Everything was beautiful, warm, charming and immaculately clean… The interim innkeeper was very accommodating, kind and attentive. The common rooms are so welcoming! I’ve never felt a draw to sit and read in an inn like I did here…
